End User License Agreement

PDR BOX · Last updated October 22, 2026

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between you and Oleksandr Los (“we”, “us”). It covers the PDR BOX iPhone app and the PDR BOX web app at app.pdrbox.com, including updates (together, the “Software”). By installing, opening or using the Software you agree to this EULA. If you don't agree, don't install or use it. Our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Copyright (DMCA) Policy are part of this agreement.

1. The licence

The Software is licensed to you, not sold. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it, for your own business or for the company you work for, while you keep to this EULA. For the iPhone app, that means on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow (including Family Sharing where it applies).

2. What you may not do

  • Copy, change, translate or make works based on the Software, except as the law allows anyway.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or take it apart, or try to get its source code, except where the law allows this despite this limit.
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, share or otherwise give the Software or your account to anyone else, or run it as a service for others.
  • Remove or hide copyright, trademark or other notices.
  • Get around security, sign-in, plan limits or the view-only lock, or reach data that isn't yours.
  • Upload anything other than what the Software is for (photos, videos and receipts of your work), or anything harmful, such as viruses or code that runs.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, overload or attack the service.
  • Use the Software to break the law or anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy.

3. Who owns what

We (and our licensors) own the Software, its design, the PDR BOX name and logo, and everything in it except your content. Nothing in this EULA gives you any rights to them beyond the licence in section 1. You (or your company) own what you put into the Software; the Terms of Use explain the permission you give us to store and show it.

4. Third-party parts

The Software includes open-source components under their own licences, and shows data from other services (for example weather and storm data from NOAA and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, maps from OpenFreeMap and Esri). Those licences and terms apply to those parts. Where an open-source licence gives you more rights than this EULA, that licence wins for that component.

5. Updates

We may release updates that fix, change, add or remove features. Some updates may be required to keep using the Software or to keep your data in sync. This EULA covers every update unless one comes with its own terms.

6. Paid plans

The iPhone app is free to download and has no in-app purchases. Company plans are bought only on our website, under the Terms of Use (section 3): what's charged, the free trial, cancelling and refunds.

7. Ending the licence

This licence lasts until you or we end it. You can end it at any time by deleting the app and your account. It ends automatically if you break this EULA, and we may end or suspend it if you do. When it ends, stop using the Software and delete it. Sections 3, 8, 9, 10 and 12 still apply after it ends.

8. No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or by law, including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and non-infringement. We don't promise that it will meet your needs, run without interruption or errors, or that estimates, matrix rates, mileage, hail data or alerts will be correct or on time. Never rely on the Software for your safety — follow official weather warnings.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for personal injury or for any incidental, special, indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption or any other commercial damages or losses, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Software, however caused and whatever the theory of liability, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability to you for all damages is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and fifty U.S. dollars ($50). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Export and legal use

You may not use or export the Software except as U.S. law and the laws of where you got it allow. You confirm you aren't in a country under a U.S. government embargo or one the U.S. government calls a “terrorist supporting” country, and aren't on any U.S. list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Apple

If you got the iPhone app from the App Store, you and we agree that:

  • This EULA is between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no duty to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price (if any). To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses or costs from a failed warranty are ours to deal with, as far as this EULA doesn't disclaim them.
  • We, not Apple, handle any claims by you or anyone else about the app or your having or using it, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If anyone claims the app or your having and using it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for looking into, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
  • You must also follow the terms of any third-party service you use with the app (for example your mobile data plan).
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and once you accept it, Apple has the right (and is taken to have accepted the right) to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to us at the address below.

12. Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If this EULA and the Terms of Use disagree about the Software licence, this EULA wins.
